New Inkscape Tutorial Published: Sequins

Saturday, 20 March 2010 00:00

vsd_easter_bunny_preview_smallThe last week has been a bit hectic, and I have not done as much as I'd planned for. But here in Oz we are enjoying the last hot days of summer - so I figured I better make good use of that too.

Today I published a very easy tutorial that shows how to create sequins and sequin trims in Inkscape. It is basically an expansion of the Fancy Border tutorial.

I hope you all checked out our Easter freebie: 4 cute cartoon style vector bunnies and some decorative elements available as free downloads in Inkscape SVG, eps format and png. The vectors are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.5 Australia License - so feel free to modify and share, but do respect our copyright. Check it out: Freebie Easter Bunny Vectors.

Upcoming tutorials:

- Colour separation in Inkscape in support of stencil preparation for silkscreen printing.
- Retro style character creation.
